How To Customize Footer Text In Genesis Theme?
If you’ve installed Genesis framework and a child theme, and you are searching for a way to change and customize the footer text and links, you are in the right place.
As like that if any other themes you can’t just edit the core theme files to modify thew footer text in Genesis. Because, when the Genesis or it’s child theme is updated, all your changes will be lost. How to Change Footer in Genesis?
In order to easily edit the footer text in Genesis, if you are a non-techie, there’s a plugin called Genesis Simple Edits. This plugin is officially released by Studiopress in the WordPress repo.
You just need to install the plugin and activate it.
The plugin will be registered under Genesis menu of your WordPress site, as shown in the below screenshot.
There you can enter the text you want to display in the footer or use basic HTML. Or alternatively, you can also make use shortcodes available to display some of the most commonly displayed element in the footer.

After this; finally hit the save button.
Now reload your blog page. If the footer is not updated, cache refresh your browser by hitting CMD+Shift+R on Mac or Shidt+F5 on Windows. The changes should be displayed.
